Well, surviving year one of Isla was reason to celebrate. My mom and dad came in town the weekend of Isla's birthday party. I planned this because I had my heart set on making pink cherry cupcakes, and knew I couldn't pull this off without enlisting the help of mom. She was a good sport because "cupcake day" was actually mom's birthday- March 18th. We treated her to some Mexican fare and margaritas after the long day of baking.
